Overview

Character Education

Through literature, discussions and group projects, students learn about having good character.  Students explore how having good character helps them to live happy, healthy and productive lives.  Being a productive member of the community and making good choices helps individuals to be successful, while supporting the quality of life we all strive for.  Through our study, students examine different habits and discuss how some habits have a positive effect on our lives, while others have a negative effect.  Together, students learn how to recognize good habits and incorporate them into their lives.  It is also important to learn to identify and avoid negative habits.  Identifying habits and being able to add or change a habit at an early age, is crucial to long term success.  Our topics of study, focus on both personal character and character of others.  Students learn and practice strategies that will help them to be successful individuals and successful team members.  We believe that having good character, making good choices and being a productive member of the community will pave the way for a successful future.
