Dear Parents and Guardians,
We would like to extend a warm welcome to students and parents, new and old alike. I hope you had a wonderful summer and are ready for a great school year. In this folder is information about P.S. 222’s Parents’ Association and our school. Please return the membership envelope at your earliest convenience and become an active member. We are looking forward to working with you to make our school the best it can be.
We will be using the internet this year to communicate with members regarding upcoming events on Facebook and P.S. 222’s new school website. We will be posting important information, upcoming events, and updates so please check these sites regularly to stay informed. The school website is ps222k.echalksites.com. Flyers will also go home before each event.
Everyone is both welcome and encouraged to attend the General Membership meetings of the Parents’ Association. It is a great way to meet other parents and to know what is happening in your school. The first PA Meeting is Tuesday, September 25th at 7:30pm. Mrs. Olivieri, our Principal, will be our guest speaker and will give us an overview of her plans for the year ahead.
Our first fundraiser is Cherrydale Farms, which kicks off September 5th and ends September 27th. This fundraiser is only second to the Card Party. The money we raise from all of the fundraisers helps us provide the many extras that the students need to achieve their goals. Your generosity affords our school the necessary gifts that the DOE cannot provide. We encourage you to participate by volunteering your time.
Please feel free to contact officers of the P.A. if you have any questions or need help with anything. We can be reached at the school number (718) 998-4298 or via e-mail at email@example.com. A member of the board will get back to you as soon as possible.
The Parents’ Association wishes you and your children a healthy and successful year ahead.
